I will be looking for anew pistol shortly.  A few things I want and a good potent caliber, good ergonomics and in a small package.  I found the one I wanted but I live in MA and they are not allowed.  It is a Taurus .45.  So with that out what other options should be given consideration.  I have looked at Sigs, HK, Beretta, S&W, Glock and Walther.  The two that fit best seem to be the S&W and the Walther.  Anything I have missed.  I have a number of revolvers and a 1911 and HP.

Money isn't a factor, you already named off some top of the line makes. But hand size may be. You did mention .45. Also, will it be used for carry or you just want something smaller?

Thanks anothergene,
I went shopping today and tried maybe a dozen pistols.  Most were just uncomfortable and hard to manipulate.  I wanted something I was already familiar with like my HP or 1911.  So what did I decide on......P99.  It seemed to fit my hand the best of any.  Unfortunately it is not as small a package as I wanted.  Next purchase will certainly be smaller.  Yeah right!
Thanks for your input.
