The Golden Sabre has the same wide nose and rounded profile as the Gold Dot I don't think it would work in my pistol either.

You wont know untill you try, and the GS bullet is about as close to a ball profile in a JHP that I can think of. Remingtons 115gr JHP load is pretty close to the same profile as well.
FYI the Black hills 124gr +P 9mm load uses the Gold Dot bullet...The boxes I have on hand have a shorter OAL than the Speer load, so they might function better. I *think* the standard 9mm load is using XTP bullets, but I'm not 100% sure.
Pick a proven load from this list of proven loads: (Courtesy DocGKR and TactialForums):
9 mm:
Barnes XPB 105 & 115 gr JHP (copper bullet)
Federal Tactical 124 gr JHP (LE9T1)
Speer Gold Dot 124 gr +P JHP (53617)
Winchester Ranger-T 124 gr +P JHP (RA9124TP)
Winchester Partition Gold 124 gr JHP (RA91P)
Winchester Ranger-T 127 gr +P+ JHP (RA9TA)
Federal Tactical 135 gr +P JHP (LE9T5)
Federal HST 147 gr JHP (P9HST2)
Remington Golden Saber 147 gr JHP (GS9MMC)
Speer Gold Dot 147 gr JHP (53619)
Winchester Ranger-T 147 gr JHP (RA9T)And try it, preferably several hundred rounds. You wont know for sure untill you've ran a few boxes through your pistol.
I can tell you from what I have on hand or have seen that HST, and the Federal Tactical 124gr (LE9T1) have a fairly rounded shape. The 147gr Ranger-T has a wider nose than the 127gr +P+ version also.
EFMJ dosn't expand consistantly. Hornady TAP uses XTP bullets, and suffers from poor performance against barriers, but it does penetrate well. Cor-Bon generally dosn't penetrate very well, and suffers against barriers.
I personally would try to stick with Ranger-T, Gold Dot, Federal Tactical or HST. I'd try the Golden Saber in 124gr +P and 147gr next, if I could get them. Does your Khar run on WWB 147gr JHP? In a pinch, I wouldn't sneeze at this load, but it wont perform as well as the "premium" rounds... that'd would probably be my last pick.
