I have a Kimber Custom II and I feel the need for an adjustable rear sight.  The current sight is the windage adjustable only original Kimber fixed sight ... it's not bad, but I would like something adjustable for elevation as I shoot reloads and some occaisonal, casual action pistol.
Is anything at all possible within a reasonable price range?

What is the difference between this sight and the Dawson adjustable with the Bomar cut?   Is the Bomar version wider?

Also they list .180 to .200 heights for front sights.  I'm assuming .180 is the standard for 5", and .200 is for long slides?

How hard was it to remove the old sights?  I have a good vice, some wood to hold the slide, etc.   Worked great on my Glocks.  

Don't mind if I destroy the Meprolights, they suck.  I had no idea how slow my Kimber sights were until I tried Hienies on a DW V, and the Sevigney comp/ dawson FO on my Glock 23.
