Anything weird about removing the ambi safety??

The 1911 build DVD I have didn't cover odd ambi safeties very well.  Deos it still just pop off in between safe and fire settings?

I'm replaceing my backstrap with an Ed Brown SS back strap on my Kimber 5" CDP.  Should just be removal of safety, grip safety, the the back strap.  Hopefully I can leave all the bit's in.
