Well, I see that they are advertised as having a "Series I trigger" but says nothing about the Series II safety parts.  I posted this on 1911forums and no one knows if its just the trigger, or all the parts.  It would be kinda pointless to have just the Series I trigger, but still have that Series II safety.  Unfortunately, I think the 25th anniversary guns from Kimber is purely cosmetic.  I will keep wishing though.  I would love it if they were to start offering a full line of Series I pistols that is similar in cost to the Series II line (for the socialist states ).  I would be all over a new Custom.

They are Series I in every way including the safety system and the internal extractor.  Full size, black oxide, smooth grips with 25th aniversary logo, only one thousand nine hundred eleven will be made.

Edited to add that the following was posted at Lightfighter by a Kimber employee:

They will be series 1 frames. There are no holes where you normally put the firing pin parts.

I thought thats what I read in the lightfighter post. I had to go read it agian to be sure. The price isn't that bad. I'm hoping Brad uses the series 1 in the DET-1 lightfighter group buy.
