+P OK?  Also, does anyone know if self-defense loads expand properly from a G19?  I know the barrel is only 1/2" shorter than a G17 so I would imagine it would not make a huge difference.

+P is ok, as is +P+.  9mm does not suffer the same performance loss from short barrels as some other calibers do.

You should be able to shoot just about any defensive loads from your G19.  I've shot several brands and types in my 19 and haven't had an issue with any but ALWAYS test them before you start carrying with them.  As a general rule I'll buy a few boxes of it before hand and try it out first to make sure my 19 likes it
