Please tell me there is no MIM or CAST crap parts in the HKs?

I don't believe there are. But if HK put them there, I'd trust them regardless.

In all the years, I've never seen any reference to MIM parts or anything other than billet steel.
The quality of the internal parts is one reason we pay the premium for H&K's.

If they have no MIM then there worth the money. I guess I'm just a little paranoid because after looking into 1911s you start to think everything has MIM in it.

People still pay $1000+ for MIM in some of the 1911. unbelievable.

Kimber comes to mind, they use more MIM in their 1911s then any other.

There's a thread on the 1911 section here that lists the MIM parts in several manufacturers of 1911's. IIRC Springfields and Kimber use the same amount of MIM parts in the same places. But for whatever reason Kimber MIM parts seem to break more and/or have the worst reputation for failure.

Here...third post down.

ETA: I see you've read that thread. Nevermind then.

FWIW I've never read about HK's failing due to MIM parts...if they have any.

No MIM in any of the USP's that I've seen. I have not, however, seen firsthand the LEM trigger groups.

Thanks for your input guys. So far so good for HK.
