I'd like to buy around 10,000 rounds of 9mm JHP ammo, call it an investment.
I know that everyone has their own opinion on which ammo is the best, but often times everyone will agree that one product being sold for a certain price is a really great deal. I was wondering if there was anything like that for the ammo I am looking for? Some online vendor selling good 9mm JHP in bulk for a steal? Thanks! |

I'd call PSA and ask to speak to management and try to work a deal

Try AIM and Wiedners. Check their sites frequently for what is available and on sale.

I normally buy between 50 and 100k of each bullet weight and each caliber. Right now the top shelf jhp are still hard to get. For ten cases of ammo I would not expect much of a deal.

Thanks guys, I am going to look into SGAmmo. Does anyone have a round of choice that they prefer from there?

I like the 147-grain bonded Winny Rangers.
They make nice holes in stuff. ![]() |

View Quote 147gr HST or Ranger Bonded are both excellent choices, but due to rarity at the time I settled on Hornady's 135gr std pressure Critical Duty and I've had no cause for regret. Tomac |

There are many great choices out there. Most are manufactured to pass the same test. The difference in performance between them often calls for digital calipers to measure it. Really the playing fields so to say is level. It really comes down to brand loyalty or bias as to which load to carry. My advice starting off is to try several loads then make the big purchase on the one you like the best. I had a customer order a little while ago. He chose standard pressure 124 Gold Dot in 9mm and standard pressure HST in 45. However in 40 cal he ordered a variety of weights. In Gold Dot and Federal Tactical he ordered everything from 155, 165, and 180 gr weights. Most likely the next time he orders it will be for one brand and weight in 40 cal. |

hotpig, how bad is the availability of HSTs? Everywhere I look they are out of stock. Have my name in for a backorder, but was quoted 6-12+ months before shipping. I am getting low since the last time I ordered from you.

I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free 'cause I know that I am responsible for everything I do.

I'm still waiting on ammo that I ordered in 2013.. Every once in a while some comes in but not enough to excite me. The 147 I have a waiting list on. By the time I start on the list it sells out so I do not show it in stock on the web store.

I just ordered 1250 230 grain .45ACP Federal HST's. Came out to 67 cents shipped.
