Now that i've been really enjoying my 226R for the last couple months, i'm looking to get a back up and i was wondering if there is a Sig as small as a Glock 30 for example.

I'd like my backup to be a .40 or 45 or 357, what do you guys recommend?

The Sig 245 is a .45 and is supposed to be the compact version of the 220. I dont know if it's the same size as the G30, but you could look up their specs to see.

239 in .40 is pretty small.

The only place to carry a heavy back up gun like you want is on the vest. I would get the P239 in whatever caliber your P226R.  If you want a small 45 the P245 is good and not much thicker than the P239.

I carry a p-239 in a 9mm (the most accurate stock 9mm I've shot by the way)
It is much thinner than a Glock 30 but a little longer...
thinner is better to me...

I'm not a fan of the .40sw or .357sig calibers... but to each his own...

From what i've read on this forum, it seems that a lot of people really like their p239 so i guess i will try one shortly.
Thanks for the feedback.
