I was at the fun show and a dealer had a few of the HK two tone 40 for 469.00. I asked why so cheap...reply was "HK has dropped the 40 cal line and closing the rest out".
Any truth to this? I should of bought it at that price.

Depending upon condition, that was a very good price.  However, HK has no plans of dropping the .40, and even has plans to add the .357 sig to its lineup.

I do recall hearing that the two-tone full-size USPs have been phased out.  If true, maybe the dealer had heard this and got confused.

.40 is still a great seller, they would be idiots to drop it.

That was a long time ago. Now they are coloring the polymer.

I doubt it.  .40 is one of the more popular calibers.

If they were dropping the .40 line, why would they have just come out with the P200SK in .40?

The TSA arms us pilots with HK USP compacts in .40 S&W.  Not only that, they have a program where you can buy a second weapon at the government price for personal use.  Just that one contract would be enough reason to keep this line up and running.

I'll call this one complete B.S.

That's a killer price for a Stainless USP40F.  I couldn't have passed that up.

As mentioned above it's only the stainless slide models that have been discontinued.  That was a while ago, I'm surprised to see new ones still available.  Did you notice the date code on them?
