USP45F
or
USP Tactical in .45acp or maybe 9mm

I've owned several over the years, both in 9mm and .45, full-size and compact. I have only one remaining.

1st year release USP Tactical. It runs flawlessly and eats whatever I feed it. A gift from my wife, and I'll be buried with it.

You guys are not good for my wallet..
But Visa thanks you
There I was, surfin' 'broker, when this showed up.
Bought it for a song, shoots like a dream.
NOW, after reading all replies about the compacts, my LGS has a used USP compact 9mm.

What do they want for the Compact 9mm? If it is in good condition and less than $750 you are fool for not buying it.

Don't be a quitter.

If there was only one it might be the .45 Tactical.

I've owned 9's, .357 Sig, 40's,and .45's.
The 45 was the perfect balance and like all my other USPs they are tack drivers.
Unfortunately, the only USP left in the corral is the .357 Sig compact with a Jarvis .40 barrel to have some flexibility with the platform.
But the compact is a keeper.

I spent a lot of time trying to get a USP Compact in 9mm the way I wanted.  Researched the way to cut the proprietary rail so I could use a Surefire X300 without a rail adapter.

Then I bought a P2000 V3, since it was an updated USP, with an industry-standard rail, no external safety lever, and DA/SA.

P2000 is the same size as a USP Compact, and comes configured like a 21st century pistol should without modifications.

If you are looking for your briefcase, USP full size.

One of the smoothest shooting 40's IMO.
Haven't owned or shot any of the compacts, but after reading posts above
I might have to explorer that.

I ran 200 rounds through my USP40 FS on Tuesday.  As you say, they're likely the smoothest / lightest recoiling 40SW available.  They're also capable of superb accuracy.

Still prefer the LEM trigger after trying both.

The 45F is sorta the true expression of the concept.  The USP was meant as a duty gun/service pistol.

To me, that's a full size.  The 45F I used to have as a very nice gun.  I also had a compact in 357 sig.

Personally, I liked the balance and feel of the compact better than the full size.  The full size definitely shot better and had a better trigger.

USPF 45.  Like the Energizer Bunny.
New springs and mag springs once in a while
I use a Jarvis bbl to shoot lead!

If I had to get down to 1, USP/c because I have a 9mm upper and a 40/357 upper making it a 3 cartridge gun, dead nuts accurate in each caliber, 100% reliable, manageable recoil even in 40, and it is a joy to carry.

I was so looking forward to my first time shooting an HK. My brother was issued a USP .40.

I was very disappointed. The trigger was not good, the grip was only marginally better than a Glock. The whole thing felt as heavy as a P226, but without the good trigger and grip options.

It turned me off HKs until I got fascinated enough with the P7 design that I got a police turn in. Still like the action, but was surprised that the trigger wasn’t very good. Bought a VP9 hoping it would be awesome. Again disappointed. One day HK will live up to their rep.

I could never choose between my USP9 LEM or my USP45 V1. I love my 9 for carry, but my 45 is just too smooth. I will convert it to LEM one day.

USP45 FS . I’m not into suppressors but if I was then my choice would be the USP Tactical.

USP .45 or the Tactical.

Hard call on this.

USP45T

I already have it, and a regular USP45. I want to get a couple more. Perhaps an Elite 9 and a 9SD. My unicorn would be a stainless slide USP357c. I know they exist. I just can’t find one.
