So, prepping for a day at the range tomorrow, I loaded up all my USPc mags with .40S&W ammo.

Final count:  25 range mags, plus 3 carry mags.  28 total.  8 are 12 rounders and the remaining 20 are 10 rounders.  Keep in mind, I "lost" 5 12 rounders in the past, traded 4 12 round mags for 10 rounders with my brother that will start carrying his USPc on duty and donated 5 more 12 rounders to a USMC buddy of mine.  Another 14 standard capacity mags that came and went.

I think if I had a spare USPc .40/.357Sig, it wouldn't be so bad.

I can never recall a case where someone wished they had less mags or ammo.

I don't have too many mags but I just have multiple USPs and P2000. I switch guns if I'm out then I'll reload

nascar - Yeah, that's a lot of mags.  I need to get more for my ARs.  I have 6 ARs chambered in 5.56, so that many mags would be justified, in my mind.

gudel - I think I need another USPc.  Maybe I will get a LEM in .40.

racer...
Just so you know, I wasn't trying to say that you didn't have a lot of mags.  That certainly is a lot for a pistol, a hell of a lot more than I have, so far.  I wish I had the # of pistol mags that you've got, coupled with the number of AR mags in the pic.

It's just that when you mentioned being mag whore, I remembered that pic and felt like sharing.  Seems like whenever you think that you've reached a new extreme, there's some s.o.b.  that's btdt.

12 mags for the USPc  (2-12, 10-10)
7 mags for the P14 (3-14, 1-13, 3-10 )
7 mags for full size 1911 -which I don't own anymore (5-8, 2-10)

I'm looking for some more P14 mags, two of them have stopped locking the slide back.

I save my fingers at the range b/c I don't have to fill all my mags to the brim.

I might be getting a few (10?) 30rd mags here soon... even though I don't have my AR built yet.

I though I really scored when I bought 6 12 round USP .45 mags at a show from a guy for $35ea

Used beat up AR mags always catch my eye at the gun show, you see 2 or 3 laying in some pile of junk on a table knowig they can be had for a 10 dollar bill....it's like that feeling when you  get a yard sale bargain.

I have maybe 30 AR mags, mostly beat up ones I paid $4 ea for and refinished with SFL

Thanks.  I am working on getting my collection of mags for my Sigs, Glocks and 1911s up to the same mark as my USPc.

Most of collection was from either:

www.cdnninvestments.com or
www.calssportingarmory.com

Both have, or had, mag deals that gave you a free 10rd mag if your ordered a 12rd (or other standard capacity) magazine.  Many of the 12 rounders I got were donated or traded to other folks that could use them.  I have plenty of 12 rounder for carry and the 10s are great for range duty or classes.
