I have an old S&W 38 Cal. revolver and I'm interested in finding out the date of manufacture.  There is a six digit number on the bottom of the grip,  would that be helpful?

Need the model and serial number.  Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson has the serial number chart in the back.  Library or local bookstore may have a copy.

Either the book or call S&W

If I were evil, I would call the Brady Bunch & ask them as they think they know every GD thing!
