Anyone ever put a few thousands rounds through theres? How do they hold up? Any common parts breakage concerns?

Bump because I am considering one of these as a trunk gun.

How about high-ish round counts with steel cased poo?

My brother in law bought one and I advised him Wolff is a no no (since I know he didn't read the manual). I may have given him some bad advise next; I told him to shoot away and use a good solvent and chamber brush every hundred rounds to remove carbon build up, just as I do with the ARs. I just assumed that they say that so they don't have to pay shipping to replace an extractor under warranty. I also told him "so what, its an AR extractor. I've got an extra if yours fubars".

I'm now taking donations for ammo if y'all wanna see how they will hold up. My brother in law is tired of his already and I am taking custody for the low price of a Millett DMS, rings, YHM riser, Ergo grip, utg fixed front sight, utg ff rail (not part of the deal, I just want it gone),  and an MBUS  (or something better) that I still have to buy him. Total invested roughly $425.

Plus I've promised to be his AR mechanic, which I would do for free anyway just as fun and to help properly arm a fellow Constitution loving hoosier.

It was box stock when he gave it to me... Till I got it home anyway!

Had to sacrifice three heat shields tragicly.

From what read, the biggest concern is the extractor. I couldn't find anyone with one fail quickly though. The concern was based on the SU-16 which had a crappy Keltec made (possibly cast) extractor early on, but that was replaced with a sourced part from an unnamed AR manufacturer before these started shipping. Don't quote me though. I am NOT a fan or follower of KT, though the PLR-16 may turn me.

Well I got sick of the thing jamming to I took my half round diamond file and knocked the NASTY edges off of the feed ramps. Then I filed a little off the back bottom edge of the bottom two lugs on the bolt. Since then I only have about three hundred rounds (mostly Tula) through it, but it has been completely malfunction free, and the brass isn"t horrificly scarred up anymore.

I've had one for a few years now, only shot about 500 rounds thru it but it's been trouble free. Never had to 'fluff n' buff' anything, worked flawlessly out of the box. Trigger pull is about 5 pounds and comperable to the single stage trigger on my RRA. There were issues with weak extractors on the early production but it's been a while since I've read about anyone having that problem. Like ARs, some say don't run the steel case ammo, others say it runs fine. For half the cost of an AR pistol I'm happy with mine, and Red Lion Precision and Midwest industries make aluminum forends with rails for accessories. My only complaint is the rear notched sight, it's too wide. But Kel Tec puts a ghost ring peep sight on their SU-16 rifle and it easily replaces the PLR's notch rear sight for about $20. Front sight is standard AR-15 post, I pulled the crosshair post from my AR and it swapped right out.

Well it's gone. Previous owner wanted it back so badly he gave me his new Mak90 sporter. He quickly slapped in his beta c mag and dumped a hundred trouble free rounds. That was something he couldn't do before he gave it to me. He is happy! It now has over 1k on it and is showing no signs of wear. I have no doubt the thing will go a long time.
