Got a stainless .45 Custom Match.
What'cha got? |
Ditto. |

Pro Carry SLE, now called the HD. 4" barrel with stainless slide and frame. Love it. Soon to get a Custom Eclipse.
Classic Custom and the .22 conversion kit.
When I got the kit (about a year later), the mags rubbed on the slide stop. I contacted Kimber and they said they didn't know about that and it should be fine. I took a bit off the inlet on the mag and they work fine. It shoots CCI and Winchester high velocities fine. I even tried some Aguila SSS, but they don't cycle. |
Pro Eclipse II and an Ultra Carry. Looking at getting one of the CDP's. Those critters are pretty sexy....
(edited for spelling) |
I'm not slamming Kimber I just gota ask this question...
Why are Kimber Hand guns so expensive? Its not because they use expensive materials is it? why dont they pass the saving on to the consumer? |
I just got a Kimber Pro-Carry NRA edition, traded a S&W M66 straight across for it.
After realizing the error of my ways (selling my first one), I picked up my second Compact Stainless today. Now I remember why I liked that pistol so much.

Got a Custom Stainless Target model. added a tapered mag well and ambi safety as well as a new trigger. Great gun, very accurate esp. with light reloads, but very finicky with bullet selection. Doesn't like JSWC or flatpoints.
Got the Kimber (Ciener) Platinum .22 conversion for it, and it shoots very well, but not as accurate as the Ruger Govt model. I'm thinking about buying the Polymer Kimber next. Anyome out there have any experience with this? |
I have a Pro CDP. Always looking to add to the stable.
Eclipse II is next on the list? Maybe?[:\] Big(ILoveMyKimber!)Dozer66 |

Classic Custom, one of my favorite carry guns and, BTW, a better shooter tan I am!
I have the Pro Carry STS. It has replaced my Kahr P9 as my carry gun!

1)Kimber Compact Stainless (not a Series II)later model with three round holed trigger W/ Kimber Gen. 3 nite sites (second set) smooth laminated rosewood grips, Les Baer SS Serrated MSH and (3) Wilson 47OX 7 rds mags.
2)Kimber Classic Stainless (not a Series II)later model with three round holed trigger W/ Heinie Slant Pro Straight 8 nite sites, smooth laminated rosewood grips, Les Baer SS Serrated MSH, Colt Dull SS Recoil Spring plug, Ed Brown G.I. Style guide rod and (3) Wilson 47D 8 rds mags. |
Kimber Stainless Polymer .45, added an ambi safety and tritium night sights. Bought two 14 rd mags as well. The cost was justified the first time I bought it. This gun outshot my S&W 4506 and Beretta 92FS 9mm. There is no other. Used for home defense, but I take it out just to look at it. When I was in the Army, an NCO told me to buy a Kimber. Always listen to your NCO's!

I just got Custom II to go along With my Pro Carry SLE. I still think I want an Ultra.
Custom .45 SS
Best handgun I have every owned or fired. I'm a lousy shot in general, but somehow the Kimber just works for me. |
Kimber Custom Combat Carry Model, which is kind of like a light weight Commnander but much nicer.

Okay, where can I get my Ultra 10 II? Huh? Kimber ought to be done making up their own plastic by now.

Classic Stainless LE
Compact Stainless Both with Novack night sights!! The Classic is my duty weapon! LOVE IT!!!!!! |
Pro Carry, my daily carry weapon.
I've got about 8K rounds through it and I'm really pleased with it. I've added an S&A magwell to facilitate faster magazine changes and a Trijicon front sight. I also replaced the recoil spring with a Wolff after the original started to get a little mushy. |
my wifey got an SS ultra carry for Xmas (from me, of course) and i...er um...she loves it. im not a huge fan of the rubber grips, the accuracy or the kimber mags, but all things considered its a champ. this gun, however will call you out if you are a limp wrister! my wife kept getting stovepipes until i showed her what she was doing. she said "oh, okay" and continued to blast away! man she can be so cool somtimes. dont get me started on what she looks like when she busts out the s&w 686!

Custom compact, bought it the first month they were out for $500. Last year I decided to finally get it dressed up. Hard chromed, S&A mag well, Wilson combat night sights, carbon fiber grips and had the front strap & trigger guard stippled. The best gun I own without a doubt!

Kimber SS Ultra Carry in .45 acp. with night sights - never leave home without it.
Light Powerful Light! easily concealed - easier than S&W Mdl. 60 .38 special Doesn't rust Did I mention light? God I love that gun!! And it is light too!!! |

Kimber Classic Stainless
Kimber 22 Conversion Kimber Ultra CDP...on order....waiting....... |
Kimber Custom Shop Eclipse II. I've had a Colt Gold Cup Series 70, Springfield Defender and a Caspian single stack custom. None can match the Eclipse II for accuracy, reliability and quality.

I don't know... Its hard to decide between the various models that Kimber makes, or has made-- it depends on your intended use/application. I think all Kimbers are accurate, reliable, and high quality hunks of metal/plastic. Some models have more "custom" features than others, but in general, they are all high-end to start with, and accurate out of the box. |

My Kimber Ultra CDP finally came in the other week! Took it to the rang last weekend and fired about 100rds. Not a single problem, just like my other ones! I mixed ball, target, hollow points, etc in the mags and it shot them all.
Sweet gun.... |
After fighting the urge for years, I picked up a brand damn new Ultra Carry II Stainless yesterday.
Going to the range in a matter of seconds to break it in! |
WHOA! I put close to 250 round through this baby and not one single hiccup or anything. Soft recoil too. Yep, my USPC .40 is being replaced as my main carry gun.
Ultra CDP. I am very impressed with the accuracy.
To those that use it as their carry gun, what holster(s) work well? |
I'm using a Galco IWB holster with mine. Rides very comfortably.
