I picked up 3 mags that are for the 1911 today at a garage sale.
2 were still sealed in plastic. 1 was not.
It is an exact match of my Colt 45 1911 mags.
They were sealed inside of a plastic puch, idividually.
Inside the pouch they were wrapped in a brown wrapper that had this printed on it:

Type I & II, Class I, Style A
MIL-P-3420B
Original Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor
Other side treated
Use with this side out
Do not open till ready to use
Reseal when not in use

(2 logos now)
1 with: Marvellum
1 with: Ludlow

Holyoke Massachusetts, USA
sold under Shell Development Company
No. 2449962 and Pats. Pending
1-67

Are these original military issue?
Anyone know anything about them?

Thanks

There is absolutely no way of proving if these are mil-surp or contract overruns or overseas returns or recent mfgr by description only, IMO.

Do you feel you paid too much for them or something? They are 7rd mags, so?

No, I don't feel I paid too much. $5 for all three.

Just curious to learn more about them.

Thanks Anothergene!

I too found those 2 names only with ref to packaging.

Just thought some others here might know more about them.

Have not checked against the mag that came with my colt from the factory yet.
