Is it just me or does anyone else find the which is better argument silly?

I have the following handguns:

Glock 21sf
Glock 27
Glock 26
M&P 9 fullsize
Sig P226r
HK USPc
Walther PPK/S
Ruger LCP
Walther P22

Every one goes boom every time I pull the trigger, with the exception of the shitty little 22 LR Walther.  Why does everyone get so up in arms about which is better?  At this point I should have just bought one G19 and been done with it, they all do the exact same fucking thing and at least 9mm is cheaper.  Just my $.02.

Tis the nature of the beast.  What should we be doing on a site like this?  Light a campfire and sing songs?

And how many times have you pulled the trigger on each?  THAT is what will give your argument some credibility or not.

For the record, I agree with you that the "which is better" argument is kind of stupid, within reason.  There are some guns that just have a rep for being finicky or lesser quality, no matter what a 500 round a year shooter has experienced with their single example.

Sometimes the "which is better" threads can be of value if the OP is seeking users' experiences with competing pistols and the OP gets sound objective and subjective responses, which can help the OP make a decision in cases where renting the pistols is not an option. When fanboys come in and reply simply with, "get a XXX," that is of little help.

When a noob posts a POS and compares it to something that's actually of quality manufacture, we might just save someone some money in the long run.

Course, we might also be saving someone's life too....
