All hk USP have the recoil reduction system. It is not an add on part.
it is basically a dual recoil spring system. one spring for most of the slide travle back then another when the slide is ending its rearward movment. |

Whatever it is, it works.  Actually, the .45 compact has an additional polymer shock buff on the recoil apring asy & guide rod. As I don't own a USP other than a .45, I don't know if the other calibers have it as well? Damn fine guns, though!
