Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - HK P7 PSP German ID Marks?

I just bought one from SOG. It has "BMI" on the slide but this is crossed out with three horizontal lines.
Does anyone know what these initials mean in German? Bavarian Military Intelligence?

I have been told those are the markings for the German Border Guard.  I do not recall exactly what those initials mean though.

The Bundeswehr issued the P1 (P38) until recently, now the issue weapon is the HK P8 pretty much across the board in the Heer/Luftwaffe/Marine.  Some units of DSO use the HK tactical 45 as a supplement handgun though.
