I can't imagine that some bubba was able to actually make a .600 Nitro barrel for that thing, without pausing and thinking "WTF am I doing?"

That was darn near a 1st prize  winner. A couple of inches to the left and he'd of had a severe bend in his hat brim, a scope mounted in his brain pan and a room at the Grok Hotel.

Give me one.  That would make one hell of a CCW piece.  One shot stop for sure.

Er, yeah... it would stop the shooter in most cases.

Geez, what a "hold my beer and watch this" moment!

I dare say if this guy had fired it one handed as he started, we'd have a "faces of death" clip here.

thought anything over .50 cal was illegal even for handguns

re: the video, he didnt have a good grip on it, his hands should have been raised over his head while still gripping the pistol

You know, stepping through the frames, it did smack him in the head.   Glancing blow.  Probably wound up with a nice black eye.

Stupid ass.

There was a write up on the maker of revolvers chambered in .600 Nitro a year or two ago and get this, the company-somewhere in Europe-could not build them fast enough.  An people think we Americans are crazy!  That Encore he was shooting likely weighed no more than 5 pounds while the revolver weighed somewhere around 9 pounds IIRC.

The maker of the Maadi-Griffin .50's made a custom pistol version of it, there was a pic in a gun mag showing his daughter carrying it.

But it had a brake on it like one off of a tank or something.

I love the look on his face after he pulled the trigger and the gun left for home without him... I bet that's the same look guys have when a grenade goes off somewhere near them; the Oh my God am I still alive look.

A 9 pound revolver is just plain pointless. A handgun that weighs as much as a Garand makes no sense at all...

.600 Nitro is something they use to hunt Elephant and Rhino. Shooting one is about as bad as being mauled by an Elephant.

You do have CCW in HI. But only 2 have ever been issued. Both to politico with money. So technically you do have CCW, but like Rolls-Royces, only if you have enoough money.

OMG- He was going to fire it one handed at first. That would have been even better!
