That was darn near a 1st prize winner. A couple of inches to the left and he'd of had a severe bend in his hat brim, a scope mounted in his brain pan and a room at the Grok Hotel.

Er, yeah... it would stop the shooter in most cases. Geez, what a "hold my beer and watch this" moment! I dare say if this guy had fired it one handed as he started, we'd have a "faces of death" clip here. |

There was a write up on the maker of revolvers chambered in .600 Nitro a year or two ago and get this, the company-somewhere in Europe-could not build them fast enough. An people think we Americans are crazy! That Encore he was shooting likely weighed no more than 5 pounds while the revolver weighed somewhere around 9 pounds IIRC.

The maker of the Maadi-Griffin .50's made a custom pistol version of it, there was a pic in a gun mag showing his daughter carrying it.
But it had a brake on it like one off of a tank or something. |
