Wondering if one exists similar to say a Para without the new LDA trigger or whatever its called that seems to have a lot of problems.

Why not just a regular old Para P14 without the LDA trigger?  Or an STI or SVI.  They have polymer grips, but a steel frame and slide.  Or have one of the custom guys build you one from a Caspian frame and slide.

Springfield Armory GI high capacity, it's a 13+1 .45 lists for $559.00, I saw it in the October November issue of On Target.  Looks just like a regular GI only it has a little thicker grip width.

I would not rule out the SV or STI gun's. Way better than any other fat gun on the market.

My Vote is for the CZ and it is only around $500.

Another vote for the CZ97B (if you have big hands).

You may also want to wait until SHOT Show...HK will be introducing a very interesting new .45 ACP pistol.

Para makes brand new singlestack and doublestack 1911's without the LDA trigger.

Look around the online auctions or the EE. Bought a P-13 alloy for less than $450.00 shipped and ffl fees. Looked almost new. Be warned though Para Ordnance mag catch's are plastic and weak, also the mag springs are junk.

In short, a HK USP .45 Action and slide, standard accessory rail, P2000-esque grip with interchangable backstraps, and a staggered magazing for 10+1 capacity with a similar feel to a 1911 grip width.

At least, that's what's rumored.

But it's still a polymer frame, right?

If you are thinking Springfield feel one first. The contours of the frame are different than the Para and don't feel as nice. I love my Para (older S/A custom one). I would stick with Para or STI (at least if you are going with the 1911 design).

There's also the Baby Eagle / UZI Eagle.

Entreprise used to make a hi-cap 1911 but I don't know if they're still in business.

I want to know what type of problems the LDA is having.  I have 1 no problems with almost 7000 rnds.
