Anyone know of a good place to buy Grip/Skateboard Tape? I need to touch up the grips on a couple of my guns, especially my Sig239 and Walther P99.

You can find it at any skate shop, I bet even at good sized sporting goods stores. Does griptape really work though? I use to skate and I sure wouldn't want griptape on my grip, that seems like it would tear holes in your skin.

Works great any decent hardware store will have it for use on stair treds to prevent slipping.

Yes it may tear your skin until you build up callouses. But it really helps in controlling recoil, especially if your grip is a bit slippery as the one on my Walther is.

Lowes, by the ladders...Check.

Thanks fellas...

I tried Agrip from www.brookstactical.com

It dosent rip up your hand like skateboard tape.

I have a Kahr P40, it really digs into my hand, after a couple mags full of ammo, it starts to hurt.

I've been useing this tape for a while now, and I really like it.

Its soft, almost like suede.

I got board tape from our local skate shop. I paid $6 for a sheet large enough to cover a big skateboard. It doesnt tear your hands up, although it is rough when first put on. Its a lot "finer" than the ladder step, bumper skid tape that I've seen. The abrasive on those tapes is a lot coarser.

Try the a-grip. Its great stuff and lasts forever! Best part is that it wont tear up your hand. It stays put and doesnt leave that crappy residue if you do take it off.

You might want to consider the Decal Grip from GrupoMercari(www.decalgrip.com).Very thin,
apply like decals but VERY grip-enhancing/secure
I very much like them on Kahr 40 as they keep
the gun in place without abrading the skin or even much knowing they are there. About $10
by mail.

I get mine from Brownell's. (Med. 6 pieces 2"x12" #084-093-106) I use it on my .45's, the Surefire fore end on my Remington 870 and have put it on the my dad's and a buddy's .45 as well.

I've been skateboarding for 8 years so I'll give you guys a little advice. Grip tape isn't just grip tape and a real skateboard shop will offer a variety of brands, all with different levels of abrasivity, from very fine to huge "ouchy" griptape
