Being on here too much has me wanting to make a new purchase. Looking for a fullsize, G21 or G22. I feel I can't go wrong with either but can't decide. Also I would like to CC it for the winter. Any thoughts...

Sorry for another help me decide post.

I have a G20, while I love it and shoot it well, I wouldn't stand a chance trying to CC it.

The G17 fits the bill 90% of the time, the rest lies on a G36.  And they fit the same CrossBreed ST.

I'm not a big guy tho, 5' 8"  &  160#

Hope that helps.

Either would make a fantastic weapon for home defense, sport shooting like IDPA or USPSA, and also a CC piece. It is all about dressing for the occasion and finding the right holster. I use the simple and inexpensive Glock Sport/Combat holster to OWB with a very long shirt but I am still looking for the right IWB holster for my G21. I'm hoping Santa will be good and bring me something in leather around the 25th of December!

The G22, there is a ton of fantastic options for IWB/IWB carry and the .40 cal round is a great self-defense round in anybody's book. Either will serve you well but I am a G21 FREAK and would recommend it over the G22 (but I own a G22, too!) But the BEST advice is to Buy Them Both when you get the chance!

OP didn't mention ANY of the three Glocks you mentioned... maybe you're at the wrong thread.

He was discussing those guns because they are the identical size to the guns the OP mentioned...which would give him some insight as to how they would carry.

The G20 = G21

The G17 = G22

Only difference is the cartridge they fire.

G22 is good.  G21 is "more better".

I have two G21SF's with standard rail and standard one sided mag release, and I absolutely love that setup.  The grip is just a little bit longer and thicker than a G22, and you are running 14 rounds of .45.  The only possible down side is the cost of ammo for training.

21SF = best of both worlds.

This exactly.  I threw in the G36 as an option. Being the same cartridge as the G21 the OP mentioned also would fit an IWB holster if he chose to go with the G22.

Suppose I should have elaborated earlier.

you have the G30 now, it does not get much more multi purpose then that.  Not trying to stop you from another glock, but you won't be outgunned in the winter with the G30, it mounts a light for night stand duty and is a .45.

So, what do you have for training, trigger time, lots of shooting and competing????  I would get a 9mm glock to go with your 30, or if you must a G21 and then save your money for  ammo.

Never been on a course, but lots and lots of range time. That is handled mostly by my G32 and G33 since they are mostly what I have carried during the warm weather period. If I went 9mm I would just probably get a conversion barrel for either one of those. I just really wanting a fullsize, haven't had one for many many years.. Gen1 22. If I went with the .40 it's another caliber I will have to "ammo stock pile"

Prices I have got so far..
Gen4 G22 - 579.00
G22 RTF - 529.29 (love the RTF)
G21 RTF - 579.00

Just to let you know, your prices are a little high, around here, G17 RTF2 is $499, G21SF is around $530 and Gen4 G22/G17 is around $540-$550.  Unless of course, your prices include night sights?

Anyway, I love my G21SF, it is my favorite pistol and so much fun to shoot.

Once again I must chime in and tell you how happy I am with my G21 SF..

I  have a preference for the .45ACP Glocks. The G21 was the only .45 I had from Glock until I recently bought the G30. Even though my G21 was my first Glock and I loved to shoot it, the 30 tooks it place and I traded it for a tactical pump shotgun! The G21 was just too big/bulky for me to carry.
