I just picked up a very nice condition G22 gen2. I checked the serial number list and it appears my AKN***US serial number fits in the April of 1993 production date.

It came with only 1 Glock NFML / NDF magazine. The .40 stamp is lower and there is no number on the follower other that the .40 indicator.

My question is when did Glock stop making the NDF magazines and switch over to the FML type? I understand there were some FML / DF G22 hicaps that were made before the ban.

Just interested to know whether or not this preban mag I have is original to the gun.....

It probably is. I had a 2nd Gen G17 police trade in that was an AVV serial prefix that came with 2 NDF mags that I bought in 97.

I would guesstimate that NDF mags probably stopped production somewhere around 92, but someone will be along shortly with more solid facts.

I'm surprised Glock didn't change out those old mags when the previous owner had the frame replaced. Glock usually does that without even asking, unless they didn't send the mags in with it.
