I have a Gen 1 17L. I love it!

Very nice pistol but there aren't a lot of them out there. I love my G34 and wonder if the 17L would shoot any different.

I have a 17L and a 34. I like the 34 a little more, but both are good guns.

G17L is a rarity, compared to alot of other models. Cool that you've got one though. A few others here do too, obviously.

No clue where you'd get an extended threaded barrel for that thing. Might check with Jarvis to have one custom made. Isn't gonna be cheap though.

Have you looked at KKM, Storm Lake, and LWD? Worth a look.

Just buy it already threadedfor $114 LWD

Reminds me of those Cingular comercials where they have regular things representing the reception bars...

I love the size slide but not the caliber so I made my own 45 & 10mm version.

Waiting for JR to offer a solid slide (no hole) to make a G24 too.

I have a 17L and love it. I got a ported barrel for it from Lone Wolf. Its my favorite range queen. I think starting with its re-introduction in 2005 that Glock only makes one small run of them each year. So once a year for just a few weeks you'll see new ones everywhere.

I have never used or purchased an aftermarket barrel so I am not sure.

The subject was brought up and I was curious if the barrel existed so I invoked my strong google-fu and came up with that.

I'll let others that have experience in the aftermarket realm let you know about the price.

Thank you for your googleness master........ much appreciated. I thought about it and at that price would try it and put a can on it to see how well it shoots.. It already shoots better than I and some one was telling me that a can will actually make it even better. Only one way to fine out a guess. No one around Lubbock has one that I now of.

I use a 6" extended ported 10mm LWD barrel in my G20. I've fired 300 rounds or so now and it's been GTG. Accuracy is superb with this barrel.

Excellent customer service from LWD also.
