The world is a wild place. I've been around enough to see that I could do 99% of my job (as well as what I would really like to do) with a gun and a mag or two in my pockets.- Some Smart Guy

For LE work, the G45's slide is shorter than a G17, so, depending on the holster, it's easier to sit in a patrol car for hours. |

Something that a lot of people overlook as important in a handgun...balance. It just balances so well. I am a G19 homer but the 45 is the better shooter to me. |

View Quote It balances well. I thought it was a dumb idea at first, but once I tried it, it made sense. After 20 years with a 19(gen 2), I got my dept. to swap me into a 17(gen3). The 19 grip was 1/8" or 1/4" too short. It carried great and, in many ways, I prefer it over the 17, but the 17 shoots a lot more natural for me. I would bet the new 19 with the mag swell would fit well too, but the gen 2 with the cut out was too aggravating. |

I’ve debated getting it milled to bring it into the modern era but want to leave it as is. View Quote The Gen 3 slide finish is my favorite of all the generations |

Since everyone is taking g45s now, don’t know how true this is but looks like there may be a few Gucci g45s down range

Looks like a standard MOS cut and aftermarket plate combo as opposed to a factory direct mill for the acro. Interesting.

@Combat_Diver
Have you seen broken barrel lugs on Glocks or have you seen failures to feed with 124 gr or 147 gr ammo? Someone says they've seen it with military issue Glocks, but I've never heard of it. |

I know, I put in for a John Kerry grade Purple Heart… Since then I’ve added magwell funnels to my compacts to prevent this from happening along with Vickers baseplates. With the mag funnel I prefer the grip over the full size. |

View Quote G19s are forever out for me; I can only get about a 1/3rd of my pinky on it, regardless of generation, and even an aggressive undercut gives me only about 1/2 to 2/3 purchase. Various magwells only scrunch up my grip, and if I’m compromising the grip that much a g26 with a mag extension handles about the same and conceals easier so for me it’s 17(or 45 or similar full grip)/26 combo. If I could only have one gun I’d be ok with the 19, but since I can have more then one, the full size wields better and the sub compact conceals better |

Is anyone familiar with the "Rolex guy" , there's several photos of SF dudes with Geissele mk.14 rails a great glock with a dot, suppresor height iron in front of dot, vertically grooved slide, and a tango down grip plug. Looks like maybe a brownells slide?
