I was wondering what a fair price for both a USP .40F and a .45c new or used?

How much did you pay for yours? I'd like to get the best deal possible, and sometimes Cali gun dealers can be a little high priced.

Thanks
Jason

Parents paid $716 for mine in December of 2003, after tax. That was two years ago and prices seem to be on the rise. USP .40 S&W Fullsize. Mid-Ohio USA.

Hope that helps!

Thanks. Everyone I've been in Cali Compacts are fetching over $800 and Fullsizes range from $750+

It seems I can get a better deal through a retailer out of state?

How much are you guys paying your FFL to transfer in your name?

I have found a USP 45 Fullsize for $719, plus shipping. Cheapest by far from what I've found.

As for transfers, I'm gonna pay a guy I know $25 for one. Some dealers charge 10% of the guns value, some charge a flat rate.

I just paid $635 shipped for a NIB USPC 45 with an AD date code and 3 magazines. It was a dude's safe queen and needed extra cash. The box is still sealed

The two places I talked to about transfering a gun over (out of state, not local) want over a $100 to do it! Is this normal? That kills almost any pistol deals for me!

Turner's had the USP45 full size for $749 last week.  That's the highest I would pay.

Where are you in CA?  $100 is way too much!  $40 + $20 DROS is reasonable for 20 minutes of work.
Try Whittier Pawn if you are in socal.  Gun stores usually don't like transfers because they can't jam the 15% profit in it.

No, way overpriced! Shop around, pawn shops with an FFL are usually the cheaper places for a transfer.

I picked up my HK USP 45 fullsize with the HE finish and tritium night sites (green front, orange rear) for about $650 worth of stuff in trade. The USP was used but less than 500 rounds through it, plus it came with original box, papers and two ten round mags. I figure that was a good trade.

I just did a thread on this topic. You can find some useful info here. CDNN has NIB USP .45f  with 2 hi-caps for $672.

Another guy I found on Gunbroker has a NIB USP .45f with night sights and 3 hi-caps, only 100 rds fired, for $675 shipped.

In my experience, CDNN rarely has these in stock. I called about them several times & was always told, "they were out". Maybe if I wanted something other than the black frame versions, I may have been lucky?

As it was, I paid $719 for mine this week with two 12rd mags.

I picked my USP 40 full size up in 2001 for $600. The neat thing was they were running a sale and misplaced the sale sign; it was supposed to be 50 off of sigs not HK's. The sign didn't mention the make of the gun on sale they just put the sign in the wrong spot.

BTW, $100 is WAY overpriced for a transfer. I've never paid over $20.

Go used. 500-550 bucks and they'll already be worn in!

Sounds like Bob got a very decent deal for a gun that will actually be delivered and with the 12 rounders.

No small thanks to Big Bore, yes I did!

I bought my USP 45 full in 1997 for $499 brand new in gray plastic box with 2 ten rounders.

To make you really feel bad I bought 6 12rd HK LEOs at a guns show this summer for $35 each.

My buddy and I decided to each buy this gun together and drove some distance to a big store that had them in stock.  He backed out at the last minute.  I put HK match sights on mine off ebay for $50 or so and now my palm is chewed up from that dam checkered back strap like the rest of you!

You know people complain about the checkering, but the only abuse I have encountered with any handgun is shooting my 625 with wood grips.  I developed a blister from the wook JM grips. I went back to the Hogues and am only with slight callous on my index finger from DA shooting.  Sort of the same place I got blisters from using a manual case trimmer till I got my Giruad Trimmer!
I have shoot a combine 36 thousand rounds of ammo through both my full size and compact usp in 45acp and they are the bomb.  The only bad thing, and it inherent to the usp especially in 45acp is the magazine springs needed to be replaced.

Since we haven't been in 1997 for many years, exactly how does this have any bearing on current pricing????????????????????????
