Shooting the Kimber today, I had multiple failures to return to battery. The round partially feeds, but not all the way.

I was using 230 gr. FMJ Blazer ammunition, and Wilson Combat 47D mags. The Kimber has an 18.5 lb recoil spring that's practically brand-new. I'm positive I wasn't limp-wristing it.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check your extractor tension you may have too much.  There's plenty online about how just google it.

1911s are not prone to limp wrist jams so that's very unlikely.  I cant make any of mine do it no matter how hard I try.

Thanks, Mr45auto. I reduced the tension on the extractor a bit; hopefully this'll solve the problem.

Gee, I guess I have to go to the range again, and shoot some more.
