I've had my Witness Hunter for a couple of months now and it's a beautiful pistol and a lot of fun to shoot.
However, I've also had it long enough to note two problems.
1. The front sight is way too low. In order to zero it, I had to really raise the elevation screw on the rear sight. This worked for a bit but on Saturday the LPA rear sight spontaneously dissasembled, from recoil, no doubt. I was able to find all the parts and reassemble it, and in an effort to keep it from happening again, put the screw in much further. This caused me to shoot my chronograph. Rough day.
I really like the fiber optic sight but I need a taller one. If anyone has a lead on these I'd appreciate it. The stock sight uses a tiny set screw threaded into a hole at the very rear of the sight blade. I see the ones from Henning's screw in the middle.
2. The slide likes to prematurely lock back. I've tried pulling my thumbs away from the side but it still happens. Weak spring?
