If you can swap out a Sig P228 barrel and replace it with a Sig P226 Barrel?

My reason for asking this is I have a Sig 226 and Just recently purchased a P228 I would like to have that extra over hang outside of the slide so that I could thread the barrel and set the gun up for a suppressor.
