This is a weird question, even for me . But seriously, how do Glocks hold up? I've owned and carried a G19 for about 6 months now and it hasn't shown any sign up use hardly at all (except on the barrel where the slide runs across it. How hard is that plastic on the receiver to scratch? The tennifer finish on the slide seems tougher than most of the finishes I see on other guns.

Truthfully, who cares, right? It's a tool. It's just that the first scratch is always so damn painful....

It's tough. I dropped my 23 once right onto the driveway (cement). Not a mark! But it looks like some of the finish has started to rub off on the two top corners of the slide from holstering the gun over and over. But that's okay with me. It's my 'work' gun.

I have some slide wear on some of my glocks. I am not worried about a little finish wear. The tenifer isn't in the phosphate/blue finish.

I carry a g21 on a duty rig. I've scratched the handle area numerous times when brushing up against cinderblock walls or when wrestling on the ground. Once while on bicycle patrol I crashed, and made some deep gouges in the same area. I just shaved off the offending pieces of plastic, and now it just looks hard. Normal holster wear on the edges of the slide.

I know everybody is pissed off cause big bores ego is soaring but knowbody else had the balls to abuse the Glocks like he does

as for the question on scratches watch the video of him draggin it behind hi truck! and also when he throws it off his garage roof onto concrete! he also runs it over with his truck so exspect your to be pretty strong

Glock doesnt have a finish, per se. They put a paint type finish over a proprietary metal hardening process. They are fucking tough. If you wear away the paint, it still wont rust. I have dropped my G21 onto a concrete floor just to see the look on peoples faces, and the Glock didn't know the difference.
