IIRC, the 442 is blued, the 642 is a S/S look finish. There's also the 460, the Performance Shop version of the 442.

I just bought the 642 Centennial with Crimson Lase Grips for $ 557.00 Great little CC.

Both 442 and 642 have aluminum alloy frames; 442 is anodized black and the 642 has an anodized S/S finish as BobCole mentioned.  I think the 442 has a carbon steel blued cylinder and barrel and the 642 has a stainless steel cylinder and barrel.  Both weigh in at 15 oz.  Both are pretty good CCW pieces.  I prefer the looks of the 442 with some nice Spegel boot grips in dark rosewood.
