Actually CounterStrike turned me onto the Dan Wesson line. For the price that you are paying it is really hard to beat a Dan Wesson 1911. I actually own the Feb 2002 Combat Hanguns Magazine test model of the Pointman Guardian Duce and they gave it a very favorable review.
 I recently took mine down to Blackwater Training Facility in Moyock, NC for an 5 day Urban Tactics class(AR15 carbines and sidearms!) and it performed flawlessly. My only gripe is that the pistol has some very sharp edges and requires a de-horning, no $$$, still working on that.[>(] Dan Wesson Firearms is also coming out with their Patriot Line of 1911's and something they call "Pure Duty" which sounds like something I may need/want in the future. Get in contact with Bill Jefferey @ Dan Wesson Firearms (607)336-1174 and tell him Ray from the NYPD sent you. He'll treat you right. Good lUck on your decision. |

Where are their 1911's being made today and which parts needed dehorning?
