Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - D.O.T. and CCW...can you have a weapon in a DOT vehicle.....

I have a CC permit and have heard different things pertaining to laws about DOT vehicles and guns, none of which I have listened to until I get a definitive answer. Ive been told no guns in any DOT vehicle. I have been told if you have a carry permit you may have a gun. I am an owner operator doing HotShot work and still confused on the issue. Any help appreciated. TIA

Armored Trucks are DOT regulated and they are all armed

There are no DOT regulations regarding CCW in commercial vehicles.  

State laws and company policies are the only things you need to worry about.

If someone tells you otherwise, chellenge them to produce such a DOT reg.  They won't be able to.
