Just finished this one up.
Neither the owner nor myself can decide on the grips.....so he gets both pair.

S  W  E  E T ! ! !

Go with the synthetic grips ( G10? ), they look best on that gun.  If you had gone with traditional sights then the Rosewood/Cocobolo would be sweetest.

Either way........gorgeous.

ETA: the VERY minimalistic job you did on the safety and slide stop are TOP notch.  I love it when you guys keep the controls simple.  It adds a nice, elegant, extra touch of class to the piece.......

Looks like paint.

This gun is a little more my speed.  Nice work.

Very nice gun but I an curious as to why you didn’t contour the front sight base to match the slide.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys!:)
I know the owner is enjoying them.
This has been a hard gun to photograph. In real life, it's jet black with a slight sheen. I took a few more pics outside that capture the color/finish a bit better.
It is a Heinie rear sight, modified.
The finish is Gun-Kote over park.
The grip safety is an S&A, recontoured.
The hammer is from Kings.....checkered by them!!!!:)

Chuck,

The polishing has sizled my retinas. I think that, perhaps, my next three guns should be discounted if not free. ;-) As usual the vision and blending is extraordinary. As I have commented elsewhere, and will continue, the bevels and the chamfers all work together to atract the eye, no matter how untrained. And, I can look back and remember when your beavertails began to move toward perfection. I knew it was going to happen, right after we discussed BTs.

Anyway, beautiful, as usual my friend.

I hate threads like these. They make me want to spend a lot of money.

Great pistol. I bet it shoots as good as it looks.

Only thing I'd want is an ambi safety.

Stunning.  I love the dehorning.  I'm also a fan of serrated front straps as opposed to checkered.  I'm a little baffled at the great beavertail with the standard thumb safety, but to each his own.

I would say to stick with the G10 grips.  The wood ones already have a crack.

Really nice work. I particularly like the bevels on the rear sight and blending of the magwell.

Keep posting and I'll be forced to send in my Norinco that could use a little TLC.
