I finally paid off my Custom CDP II today and test fired it.  I've sworn by my USP40 full size, and have shot it in local steel plate matches, yet wondered why old men that could barely see their front sights, let alone their targets, were shooting circles around me with their 1911s.  After test firing my CDP, I have seen the light, and I now understand the power of the 1911 when compared to the mile long travel on my USP trigger.  Guess I'll know for sure at the next match, but for now, I think the CDP kicks butt!

I just bought my first 1911 as well, a Kimber Ultra CDP II.  I REALLY like the feel of the 1911, and am already planning my next purchase:  either another Kimber, or a Les Baer of some sort if I scrape together enough cash!!!

The CDP is a great firearm...you're going to really enjoy having it.

I got a new piece also...just got it today.
