I have a New Colt 70 rep. and it throws the brass over your head.  I have tried changing the extractor and the new one does the same thing.  It does not bother me but when my wife shoots it the brass hits her in the face.  I'm not the biggest fan of sending my pistols off in the mail but I need this fixed and all the Smiths in my area are backed up 3-4 months.  Has anyone sent a colt off lately? How long did it take? Did they fix it? Thanks for all the help.
