Forgive me for asking, but what makes this one "special" versus the standard OACP??????

The Officers Model Special was introduced around 1950 and was replaced by the Officers Model Match around 1952. I guess what makes it "Special" is because that's what Colt called it.

The Officer's ACP is a small 1911 .45 auto.
The Colt Officer's Model series (Officer's Model Target, Officer's Model Special, and Officer's Model Match) were double action target revolvers made in .22LR and .38 Special. They were made from 1904 to 1969. "Back in the day" the Colt Officer's Model's were THE target pistol. |
