found a 70s era colt  cobra snubby at a local store for $480 condition is excellent IMO and it locks up VERY tight.

Is this good should I grab it?

More than I would want to pay, but Colts have been going up in recent years. Price is ok.

I checked gunbroker today $450-$500 seems to be the going rate.

I know gunbroker is high, I think I'll offer $425 cash & carry

heavy barrel or tapered barrel? I really want a Cobra. If I found one like that, I think it would be going home with me!

That's a good price for a snubby these days. It will be a good carry gun.

That is what I paid for mine in less than nice condition. If you want it for a carry gun you're probably going to want to chamfer the hammer's edges or just knock the spur off. The corners are SHARP.
