Check to see if the extractor is a bit too tight. A weaker then new mag spring plus a bit tight extractor can cause this issue. What mags are you using, cheapos or good ones?

If you don't know, start there with a 16 lb [standard weight] Wolff recoil spring and see what happens before you do anything else. |

I think that your extractor is just a bit tight and needs to have some tension taken out of it. Have you ever done a extractor test?

You can remove the slide and with the barrel removed slip a cartridge (rim) up the breech face behind the extractor, it should slip in with very little resistance (just enough to hold it in place when the cartridge is positioned). |
