Got rid of some ubertis, to upgrade to Cimarron. Why?

Actions much better out of the box, fit and finish under Cimarron QC is better, finish looks better.. especially the Case colors. For the price ($534 OTD from KYgunCO)... couldn't say no.

I will let you be the judge..

They really are nice.

I LOVE my Cimarrons and really love the charcoal bluing, but my hesitation in buying it is the holster wear on the revolvers since I carry them all the time. I do love seeing the beautiful revolvers in charcoal blue. Awesome photo skills too!

I've got the same pistol, but your pics are gorgeous!! Much better than my potato phone below! I need to get my DSLR out and get serious about posing it.

Did you by and chance apply a light coat of HDR to the pics?

nope- minor tweaks only. to the RAW . Slightly overexposed -corrected - and brought the vibrance up a touch. Digital is not known for vibrance.

Comparison, note the vibrance of 35mm FILM:

The dynamic range of a DSLR nikon 7100 is insane.

Hmm...I have both Uberti's and Cimarron's and haven't noticed a nickels worth of difference in the two in fit or finish. Granted my Model P Cimarron is a bit nicer looking, but it's newer than my Uberti's. I've had ALL of them apart replacing springs and slicking up the actions and can in all certainty say there was absolutely no difference in them internally. But, that could've just been the dozen or so I've had apart. No matter, after they're carried in a holster for awhile, they all look about the same.

They are pretty when new and still pretty after being worn in a holster. I used to fret over trying to keep'em all new and shiny...but learned it's to no avail. Just holster them, draw, reholster to go ahead and wear down the bluing.

Nothing beats a beautiful six gun.

Your pics are just insanely beautiful. As a starting point for my own effort in this regard, what lens and shutter setting were used? Auto or manual mode? Thanks for any info you'd care to share.

You do realize that Cimarron is an importer and your new gun is likely a Uberti?  Same fit and finish and all that...

I reliaze that.. technically they were both born in Ubeti. (think a toyota vs a lexus). But having owned both, the fit and finish of a Cimarron is much better vs its uberti counterpart. Also it has to to go through Cimarron to be approved; as they are the importer.

Compare the case color.. to this..

the action is worlds better on the cimarron as well. Also no block safety on the Cimarron which is a nice touch.
