I just traded a Glock 32 and some cash for a brand new Kimber Desert Warrior.  I only had enough time to shoot 50 rounds through it, but I did not have any problems.  I would like to know if anyone has had problems with their Kimber Desert Warrior.  Thanks in advance.

I have one, I like it a lot.  It didnt start out as love though.  It had to go back to Kimber for a fail to feed.  They Reamed the chamber, polished the feed ramp , polished the breech face, tuned the extractor and tuned the slide stop... It runs like a sewing machine now and I cannot say enough good things about Kimber.  You will love your new weapon!  Wheres your pictures?

I have to agree. BUT I haven't seen one in person yet. If I find one and I take a like'n to it I might have to bring it home.

Saw one locally a couple months back.... it was all over but the spending then.

Got mine today. Added a M6X. VERY nice.

eta: $1100 at a gun show. Shoots good. The M6X works very well. adds a little weight so follow ups are decent. Shoots much better than I do of course. Finding a holster is going to be a bear with the light though. The M6X is a bit larger than the M6.  I have a holster coming from blade tech (without light) for now. A pouch for the M6X would be nice for evening carry. Any ideas folks

Check out AJC Sport Shop. That's where I got mine, and they've got the best prices I've seen (listed on their site).

Got the regular Warrior.  There is more black {think: asphalt jungle} where I live than sand, or dusty colors.

The shop close by my office has one and I have to admit, it's growing on me.

For those guys that have had them for awhile now, do you regret getting them? Do you wish you got a regular Warrior instead?

$1025 was the best internet deal I've found. Had a local FFL bring it in for me for $15. I've seen a few here who've done a bit better, but I think I did okay. Locally they were $1200.

These look great!
My question is, are the lower frames
polymer/plastic? I don't care if they
are. The light mount grooves look
cast/molded. I'm just curious...

Thanks Shivan.
I guess its the paint/coating
that make it look that way in
the pics.

johnny c,
i had the same question so i asked the folks from kimber and here's the reply.
Mike,

Thank you for your question.  The frame of the Desert Warrior is 4140 carbon steel.  If you have any further questions please let me know and I will be glad to help you.

Thank you and best regards,

I have a regular Warrior. Got it as soon as they came out, never had one problem shooting Remington 230 and Winchester 230 ball.  I only have about 350 rounds though it since I have been shooting other recent projects.  Shot it today during lunch and shot a nice little ¾” (center to center) 5 shot group at 10 yards with WWB 230gr.

FWIW,

I have a G17 set-up w/ M6 light I tote in a Safariland 6004 gunbucket, and with a tad of tension adjustment on the 6004 my Warrior w/M6 rides just as well in the same bucket as the Glock 17. Go figure--!
