A mini-review would be great.  They've really caught my eye and look like great guns.

the CZ P-01 is my latest CZ pistol.  im not into compacts, but i thought it would be a nice addition to my CZ collection.  the SP-01 is next.

what can i say?  its a CZ.  one you feel one and if you like the feel, its like an old friend. its not that much different from the other CZ compacts other then the rail.  it does have a nice solid feel for a compact and it does have the decoker too.  the slide stop is a little longer then the normal one and i can reach it w/o adjusting my grip.  my pistol has the night sights too, but i dont spend any time shooting in the dark.

edit:

i had no issues with fring several hundred rounds tru it.  i did have some FTE isses with full size mags - just wanted to try.  2 of the 3 16 round mags would not eject properly, but1 had no problems.

Good solid platform.  Tough as hell, reliable, pretty accurate.  My old mans' has very minor trigger slap.  Overall, the triggers do suck.  Lots of take up, long reset, but the rest of the gun kinda makes up for it.

I personally wouldn't mind adding an SP01 to my collection one day, I'd just have to make sure the trigger was alright first.

The trigger is just like the post above says.  It is certainly no "competition gun."

But I certainly do like mine for carry.  It is a little bulky... given the right clothing, I will opt for a 1911 instead.  The rest of the time, I have the P-01.

I was going back and forth about trading it in for a Glock but decided not to.  For a carry gun, the P-01 takes the cake for me so far.

Bummer on the triggers.

Bulky?  Huh -- I only held one briefly and didn't get that impression.  Are they bulkier than a Glock 19?  What is the mag capacity anyway?  Are spare mags easy to find?

14 or 16 round mags. I had one but it was a lemon so I won't comment. CZ customer service, however, is top notch.

Triggers arent really that bad.  Its functional, and it doesn't hurt the performance of the gun.  It just doesn't feel as good as other triggers out there.

If you want one, by all means get one.  Chances are you will love it.

I have one and it is my favorite 9mm pistol period. It is the most comfortable pistol I have ever held and is as accurate as any 9mm I have shot. The trigger smooths up and I installed a 17lb hammer spring in mine which made it even better. One thing people get confused about on the trigger is that CZ designed it to be used at half cock likethe decocker brings it down to not all the way down all though it will work either way of course. Minw would be the last 9mm I would sell and I own a few. I think it is great for a carry pistol.

I carry one for my CCW, and I really, really like it.

As far as "bulky," I suspect the thickness is the issue. A few other double-stacks and the single-stacks are slimmer, but it's not outside the norm, by any means.

I have average sized hands with long fingers, and I'm a computer guy, no big grip monster me, and the gun just feels a part of me, and, consequently, I shoot it very well.

If the tac rail doesn't mean a lot to you, the PCR is essentially the same gun without one.

I've only shot about 850 rds, but never had a burp!
