I'm looking for a holster for a Kahr CW9. Something really simple, kydex, IWB, and with a j-hook or clip of some kind. The Blade-Tech Phantom with a j-hook would be perfect, but it has loops and is not made for the Kahr. Any ideas?

I"ve had a Garrett Silent Thunder Slim II for about a week and really like it. Ordered it with the J-hook and works great. As a bonus it the Silent Thunders are leather lined.

He also has the option of kydex J hooks.

Arrived a couple days ago.
I've yet to wear it for any period of time, beyond initially trying it on. But, it was immediately very comfortable, easy to put on over my belt (1.5 x 1/4") and felt quite secure. The leather is maybe 1/8" thick and fairly flexible, which I think adds to the comfort when first putting it on. Retention was perfect, holding the pistol securely, while only needing one had to draw. Re-holstering is also positive.

I'm going to wear it for a few months before I write a review, but my initial impression is very favorable. I expect this one to be a keeper!

I have a don hume with a metal clip. It's all leather and no kydex but it's simple and works well.

I've also used the Don Hume in the waistband with the CW9 for a few years now. I still like it.

Old photo.

Cannot recommend Tommy enough. Have one for every one of my CCWs now. I got my wife one for her CCW, which is a CW9. I don't think it's possible to get it to print. I carry a Glock 19 around 15 hours a day on average. Most of the time I forget it's there.

I just made this one for my new CW9 last night. Im really happy with how the kydex turned out. Im working on a way to make nice clips out of Kydex so I can quit using Crossbreeds clips. They alone double the cost of what it would take for me to make the rest of the holster.

PJ Holsters.

In general, though, I would recommend against J hooks. They put the weight of the pistol on your pants, not your belt. I suggest the velcro option if you don't want clips on the outside.

JustSomeDude- that's exactly what I'm looking for! Just too late, though, and I already bought a cheapie suede job from Blackhawk. It gets the job done, and I plan to use it for a while to help me figure out what I'm looking for in my next holster. Thanks everyone for your input.

Thinnest holsters I have and use for my k9 are the ultra thin kydex with belt clip from FIST. Been using it for about 5 years with no issues. I'd highly recommend it.

I have the Theis in horse hide for my CW9. It is just getting broke in and I like it. There is a guy down in St Louis that makes a very similar model. If you meet his at his shop he will custom mold the Kydex to your gun and knock a few buck off of the price.
