Hey M4 ...
Yes, I agree it's a very sweet gun, bet it shoots as well as it looks.
I've been around Colt 1911's all of my "legal to own one now" life. In fact, the Government model was the first gun I owned.
Funny thing is, everyone says I had to take to a smith to make it "shootable" ... i.e.; all the bells and whistles.
I still have the gun and it's all stock and shoots well enough @ 15 yards for one ragged little hole with ball ammo. Which by the way has the ole collet bushing in it and I've never had a problem with it.
Just goes to show the Colt can and still makes a good gun, right out of the box.
I just picked up a Colt Custom Commander. I had fun with it yesterday and the bushing is easy to take out with your fingers and the trigger is ok. And still, it shoots as accurate as my ole Government. Meanwhile, I laugh at all the hype the other forums and their resident gunsmiths posts that none of these factory guns are good enough to depend on until you bring 'em to me so you can blow a $1000+ on it.
LOL ... you know the story line.
I like your gun and I hope you have a lot of fun times with it.
