It is an Argentine FM Hi-Power.  I have had the extractor replaced already due to wear.  What is happening is as the fired case is extracted, it hits on the next bullet down in the mag, and pops off the extractor.  If I reshape the mag lips enough to clear the extracted round, then I get a jammed inot the feed ramp jam.  The only mag that workd reliably is the one that came with it, and I have tried all available spares, including the Browning factory mag.  Any help would be appreciated.  Ops

Could be the mag catch holding the mag a tiny bit too high in the mag well, or a slightly incorrect cut / angle of the breech face. Might also be a burr on the breech face.

A temporary fix is to use a taper crimp die and taper crimp your ammo before firing, which flattens out the lip at the case mouths a bit, but you should not have to do this...obviously...if the gun is running right.

I would try another mag catch if I could find one at reasonable cost and if a careful stoning or polishing of the breech face did not help.

Possibly the extractor spring needs to be stronger.  The case shouldn't be popping off the extractor like that.
