I have a Browning BDM 9mm.  I like it except for the front sight set up.  Thinnest fullsize pistol i've ever had, nice to carry in a Kramer IWB#2.  It's not cocked and locked but it's pretty good even in DA) (revolver mode, I know revolver mode sounds gay but it works)

It is combat accurate but not more than that.  I get about 3.5-4" groups with 115 Winchester FMJ at 15 yards.

Nothing wrong with the BDM really, I'm just lean toward the HP.  However, I sold a BDM to a buddy of mine, and he loves it.  Like you, he hated the sights, and sent it in to PT Night Sights and had a set installed.  He also uses this gun for his EDC.

I carry a BPM-D; the DA version of the BDM. Yes, it is really thin. Mine shoots 2.5 - 3.0 groups at 50 feet with no problemscpapa

Oh I admit I've not tried a lot of different brands of ammo for the BDM.  I've tried the normal USA and Remington 115 FMJ and some Federal Hydrashoks.   (It's not my only pistol so I guess I've given it a bit of the short shrift.)  I've thought of reloading for it too.  Most people don't bother reloading with the 9mm Luger cartridge.  I really do like it in the "revolver" mode.  I can get used to the da trigger pull  easily.

I think this gun is a sleeper.  I'm glad I picked it up cheap.  I wish there were a few more holster options for it though.  (I love my Kramer IWB)
