Hey everyone, I just picked up a P2000 in 9mm (AE code). Finally part of the H&K group . This is my first 9mm handgun.

Anyway, I wanted to give it a good cleaning before I shoot it and was wondering if Breakfree CLP would be fine to use? Also, which solvents should I stay away from?

Breakfree will be just fine to clean with. I would run several dry patches down the bore afterwards so as to remove any oil residue from the barrel.

No clue as to whom to actually avoid. One cleaner I've found that works miracles is "Gunzilla". It doesn't stink, is eco-friendly, non-petroluem & actually keeps temps lower than Breakfree. However, it doesn't last as long as a lube when stored in the safe, IMO.
