I carry my compact in a SOB holster, and the wood checkered grips end up irritating my skin. Who makes a smoother grip (I would prefer black.) that won't tear up my back?

Thanks,
Kris

You would probably prefer the paper micarta gator grips from VZ. They provide a good grip without being abrasive.

I have the Falcon Ergo XT Grip. I really like them. They have a skateboard tape pattern to them. They offer a good grip for me, but not too abrasive for concealed carry.

i like the half checkerd /half smooth.the checkering being at the bottom and angles up.with this grip my little finger and 4th fingertip are wraped around to the checkering .mooth at the top for easy movment of index palm/knuckle and thum.[
