I have a Glock 26 that was my carry gun when I lived in a state that allowed it. I can't really seem to hit anything with it and I thought perhaps the gun was just not very accurate but I've taken friends to the range and had them shoot frighteningly good groups with it so now I know it's not the pistol. I've always hated the stock sights, I find them to be... let's just say unintuitive, so I'm thinking I'd like to get some replacement sights see if that helps things a bit.

I'm heading to a gun show this weekend and thinking about bringing the gun with me to have someone put a proper set of sights on the gun. I realize it's all relative but what are some of the better sights out there? I kind of like the idea of the Sure Sights and ATS because I love the sights on my Steyr M9-A1 but at $100 vs the $60 TruGlo sights I don't know if it's worth it. Are there any good adjustable sights or all they all fixed?

Trijicons are nice.   I'm not sure why you would want adjustable sights on a defensive gun like the G26.  It's not a target gun, and the fixed sights are usually pretty well aligned.

Also, be aware that orange and yellow don't have the same half-life as green.  7 years vs. 12  I believe.

If this weapon is ever to be employed in a defensive role, stick to fixed sights.

As for which sights, personally I prefer the Warren Tactical sights. You can find them here:

A lot of the top competitive guys and tactical guys swear by the Warrens. They are the best iron sights I've tried so far:

What height front sight do you need for those Warren rears?

Also, do you have any opinion on the standard Warren Tacticals vs. the Warren Sevigny Carrys?

Thanks!

You need a "tall" height front sight. The stock height Glock sights won't work with a Warren rear.

I prefer the outline of the standard Warren sights.

By tall you mean like a .215-.220 or so?

Thanks for your info/opinions. Thanks to your "living with the Glock" and "low light fighting" threads, I've finally gotten off my ass and started looking for new sights for my G19.

Maybe I'm missing something but I honestly don't know that I like the look of them. Something about them just seems off. Maybe I'd change my mind if I saw them but it seems odd to spend $55 on plain sights when I can get TruGlo fiber sights for $60.
